Creak.
A small creak came from the wooden and glass door of Westchester Academy's indoor pool. A redheaded girl, around eighteen years old or so stepped in, wearing a mid-length shirt from Nike, teal Nike running shorts, and teal Nike running shoes. She looked down at her outfit and sighed, she was wearing everything from Nike, she realized. It's not that she didn't like Nike sports equipment and clothes, it was just wearing three things from the exact store that bothered her a little, and made her feel embarrassed, even when no one was in the indoor pool. The open waters were still, and held no sighs of life. The girl, her name's Emilia Estelle, smiled at the waterproof white watch that was connected around her left wrist, because it wasn't from Nike. And neither was the stylish and gray dance bag that hung from her right shoulder, that ached from the pressure for so long.
Emilia wasn't even tired from the mile-long run she had taken. She had ran one of those everyday since sixth grade, and that made her in great shape. It was around eleven o' clock in the morning, and Sunday morning's pretty much owned the whole entire run, then take a very long and well-deserved dip in the pool type of thing. She looked around, making sure no one was inside the room, or anywhere in view past the glass. Light filled in, and made the room feel more cozy. Her bag slid off her shoulder, and landed on the chair she had quietly stepped next too, as it was near the door. Her hands zipped the bag opened, to reveal a very organized inside. She unconnected her watch, and looked at the time. 10:46am, it read in black letters that stood out against the silver background. Happiness flooded her insides. She had an hour to swim, then get back to her dorm, change, and get some lunch.
Emilia slid off her watch, not wanting to swim with it, and put it in a small pouch inside her bag, on the right, the closed the pouch and bag very swiftly. She sat down on the chair, shoving the bag to the side, and slipped off her running shoes, then her white socks. She lay them down separately, and turned towards the crystal clear waters of the pool. They were so still, she almost didn't want to disturb them. She needed to dive though, and walked to the right, near the diving boards. She picked the smaller one, to warm up with, and steadied herself. Her structure was elegant and poised, as she jumped up one, twice, then on the third bounce she shot herself into the air and curved her body into a front flip. She took a deep breath, as she got closer the waters awaiting her. Then she made herself straight again, her hands high above her head, lapped over one another, as they slit into the still waters. Her body was still straight, as she dived in, then slightly curved to stop herself from hitting the bottom, and she came to higher parts of the pool. She came up for air, as her head reached the surface and her eyes remained opened, then blinked, as she took another breath and her feet hit the bottom. It was her best, but it would do.
