carson jamison sat sluggishly on her bed, laptop on her lap and her reading glasses adorned eyes glued to the screen. this had been a routine for the past few days, but that was all coming to an end, finally. she and seth were going on their 'starbucks field trip' as carson liked to call it. seth had promised to take her and today was just her lucky day again! that penny that she found two days ago was still sharing the luck! she figured she should keep it even longer now. or maybe she could give it to someone! eh, no. she would keep it to herself. when it comes to things like that, car could be a little selfish. but, that never hurt anybody now did it? carson didn't think so. she was just happy to actually get out of her dorm today! she felt so cooped up every other day, like an animal at a zoo! it was so boring too. you'd think a high-class boarding school like westchester would have some awesome dorms with tons of cool stuff in them, but they didn't. it was just a bed, dresser and a walk-in closet. everything else, you had to do yourself. so messed up!
getting up from her bed, carson shut her laptop and walked to her closet. she quickly changed out of her slobbish tee shirt into a nicer, prettier one. looking in the mirror, she primped her hair a bit and fixed her shirt so it wasn't creeping down to reveal her cleavage or anything. that would just make her look..sluttish? well, whatever you wanted to call it, she didn't feel like hearing it from people. she had already been called a slut by brendon today and even though he apologized for it, it still made her feel bad about herself.
shaking the thought out of her head, she slipped out her sandals and grabbed her purse off of her dresser and walked towards the door. shutting it behind her, she looked at the keypad and made sure the door was locked. once she was sure, she walked down the hallway and down the two flights of stairs to the lobby. putting her black ray-bans over her eyes, she glanced around the large lobby. she always felt like every time she walked through her she was being watched by someone. she had that feeling everywhere though. sometimes even in the bathrooms. it was a creepy feeling, but thats what you get when you enroll in a spy school. cameras everywhere!
seeing that no one was looking at her, she made a bee line to the front doors and outside to be greeted by the warm sunshine and the light breeze. it was nice for once around here! she was used to this weather, being from australia and all. every other day though, the weather here in westchester was so dreary and cloudy. it was like summer time never came and skipped over fall to winter time. weird. so, she was going to make the best of the weather by walking to starbucks, since it was so close to the school. she always found it weird that the school was so close to town, but it was so well disguised as a normal boarding school that no one noticed it and since everyone at school came to town like everyday, no one questioned anybody. so awesome. carson quickly walkedd own the sidewalk until she saw the green logo in front of her. from here, she decided to wait for seth.

Seth's mind was in a whirl. His brother had stopped being mad at him, he was now going to meet Carson at starbucks, it seemed a little too good to be true. The curly-haired eighteen year old wasn't used to meeting up with girls, so this was definitely something he was excited about. He had woken early, surprisingly for once, his own decision. Seth had this great song idea in his head, and instantly started working on it when he got up. He was planning on playing it to Carson one day, but not this one. There was still a lot of work with it, so he couldn't say it was great yet. Seth wasn't about to show her something half finished. No, he would try his best to make it perfect. Well, as perfect as a person could do. Seth knew that nobody could ever achieve perfect, but he wanted to try to make it sound great. It felt like that was something that she deserved. Carson really was a great girl, and besides, she wanted to be with Seth, as shocking as that was. He would never have believed it if someone told him a month ago that a girl like her was crushing on him. He had never done anything truly noteworthy, and never really been interested in getting in a relationship.
And another thing, he was way too honest for his own good. So many blind dates had been set up by his brother Zach, and all of them had gone screwy. Seth had also gained a lot of smacks and so on from those same screwed up dates. Girls asked him questions, and he answered truthfully. It seemed that honesty was no longer what the world wanted. Still, Seth couldn't lie, whatsoever. If he ever attempted it, his voice got all high and squeaky, so it wasn't even worth it. Either way, Seth disliked it, so it was irritating bothering with something that would make him sound stupid as well as become a liar. And that was something he might as well avoid. Seth smiled to himself, put the lyrics and notes he so far had away in a drawer, and locked it up with extra security steps. This was a spy school after all, you really needed to watch out. Seth had learned this the hard way his very first year here. He put on a white tank top, not having bothered to put one on while working on the song, but felt it wasn't exactly the smartest idea to head into a coffee shop shirtless. Besides, he didn't need people to stare more than at the fact that he was always in there pretty much. Or at least, in their opinions.
Leaving his room, he felt relatively relaxed, waving at a few people he knew, rolling his eyes at people who were snickering and holding up idiotic signs telling him he was a coffee addict. Yes, he knew this, they didn't need to do that. It was rather immature of them, but, from the looks of them, they were in his youngest brother's year, so maybe it made sense. Seth shrugged to himself before exiting the school. He had more important things to worry about. Like spending time at his favorite coffee place with the greatest girl he had ever met. His heart was beating so fast, and the smile that had been on his face all the early morning grew even wider as he thought about their meeting that was now very soon. His brown eyes were sparkling with excitement and there was that way about him that was far more energetic than any of his friends or family usually saw with him. Could it really be that Seth Kennedy was this excited about hanging out with a girl? After all, he had never really dated much, never been in a lengthy relationship, and yet now he was smiling like a goofy lover. Sure, he didn't really notice it, but people from the same town who had known him for such a long time did, and were quite stunned.
Coming up to the coffee shop, his smile grew even wider as the curly-haired young man caught sight of her. A warmth seemed to spread in his stomach, and he felt that for once he knew that what he was doing was right. No guilt in his stomach, no sadness, no frustration, simply the joy of this. Seth didn't understand it, but he wasn't sure he wanted to even try. "Carson! I'm nearly finished with your song. I can't wait to show it to you when I'm done." Seth spoke excitedly, coming up to Carson, and gave her a quick hug. He bit his lip anxiously. He had never done that before really. Not when he really liked the girl he hugged. This would be harder than he thought. Seth had never been in any sort of situation like this before. He'd never felt this way about any other girl before, so he had no idea what he was to do. Hopefully she'd understand his saddenizingly weakness in the area of that kind of thing. His brown eyes watched her, not letting himself look away, as he fought himself wondering whether or not he should just take her hand and lead her into Starbucks. Seth realized there were so many things that could go wrong, he could mess up, she could realize he was stupid, idiotic. Oh boy, he was afraid he might have a nervous breakdown. Perfect.

pulling her cell phone out of her purse, carson raised an eyebrow as she saw who was called. her mom, all the way from australia. she obviously wasn't aware of the time change. it had to be at least midnight back home in sydney, but carson wasn't surprised that her mother was calling at that time. she could be doing some government party or doing security somewhere, but most likely, it was a party and she was probably a little tipsy after drinking one to many sangrias on the rocks. very typical of the forty year old australian government agent. carson's dad was almost the same way, but he could control himself. she would much rather prefer if he was calling her, instead of the semi-alcoholic women he called his wife. figuring she shouldn't be rude, carson decided to answer with her usually cheerful, "g'day mom," and even though she could barely hear what her mom was saying, carson managed to just stand there and listen and listen and listen. she didn't bother saying anything back because she honestly didn't want to talk. she was too busy thinking about seth at the moment.
carson's eyes looked around, seeing if she could see seth any where. he would be easy to find after all with his curly head of hair. but, at the moment, she did notice any body around her. cell phone still glued to her ear, she closed her eyes, pretending to listen and care about what her mom was actually saying. after a few minutes, she simply hung up. it wasn't like her mom would care anyways. carson put the phone back into her cluttered purse and when she looked back up from do so, there was seth in front of her.
"carson! i'm nearly finished with your song. i can't wait to show it to you when i'm done." he had said after giving her a hug. carson seemed to grin from ear as she noticed that he said 'your song', as if it were for her. she had never really had a song written about her, actually, she had never had anything written about her. not even in a news paper of a yearbook. sad sad. looking up at him, she continued to smile. "i'm really excited to hear it!" she told him in a cheerful tone, a tone she didn't expect for her to have this morning. her enthusiasm was extremely high and she knew it was only because she knew she was going to see seth today. if she wasn't, she'd probably still be lying in bed being a lazy ass.
taking her eyes off of him for just a second, she looked back at the store front. the smell of coffee was clearly in the air and it was making carson want some badly. so, she took no time in interlocking her arm in seth's and walking to wards the door. "i think i'm turning into you," she told him with a quirky smile, "i woke up this morning and wanted coffee! she was teasing him of course because she knew zach teased him about his starsbucks addiction, but carson wasn't nearly as mean as zach seemed to be to him. there was no way in hell that she could without feeling terrible! she knew she could never be mean to him. he was entirely too sweet and she could tell that he was nervous and he was doing a good job at not showing it too much. carson didn't mind it though, not one bit. all she had to worry about was not talking his ear off! hah!

Seth had never done something like this. Met up with a girl he really liked in a specific place. Did this count as a ''date'' or not? Seth wasn't sure at all. He just knew that they were here together. His favorite shop, his favorite girl, wasn't he lucky? The fact that she even humored him with his coffee addiction was nice. He had to thank her for that. His brothers were always making fun of him for it, but not Carson. He felt so warm just thinking about her, like she was the brightest point of the day. Or something of that sort. He wasn't sure what to think, except that he was extremely lucky. Seth knew she was a great girl, and that she liked him, and that was what made him feel reassured that what he was doing was right. He did still have that guilty feeling from knowing that he had hurt his brother though. That one wasn't about to go away for a while. But Seth couldn't help the way he felt about Carson. It had hit him out of nowhere, and now....well he couldn't imagine what he'd do if he couldn't be with her. And, since she felt the same way, he was finally going to learn what it was like to be with a girl. He had never really dated before, having believed that all the girls were scary and difficult.
His heart skipped a beat when she smiled at him. Carson had a beautiful smile, positively enchanting. And if he were truly honest to himself, Seth could admit that he had fallen in love with her. But that was such a scary thought, he decided to keep that to himself. Sure he was now going out with her, or something, but feelings beyond crushing and liking Seth didn't really understand. So for the moment, meeting Carson at starbucks and simply talking was just fine. Besides that, their relationship was so new. Everything about it was exciting, he didn't think that anything else was needed to be said. "Great, because I think you'll really like it." Seth spoke with a huge grin. He had worked very hard on the song, and it held to him a great feeling. He definitely hoped she would like it, because he had written it all to do with how he felt about her. There were a lot of things he didn't know, but one thing was sure....he adored Carson. He knew nothing about relationships or dating, but he knew how he felt about her, and that was the important thing. While he knew he had done wrong by falling for his brother's girl, he couldn't help how he felt. This was just the way he was.
Seth was pretty sure that even with his brother happy with some other girl, he'd still feel guilty. After all, he was the eldest brother, he should have kept his distance. Now though, it was sort of difficult to think about that with her so close to him. He grinned as she interlocked their arms and led him into the shop. He sighed with happiness, smelling the familiar starbucks smell, and feeling so relieved to finally have the chance to be with Carson. He hadn't dated since before he had entered the westchester academy, because he had gotten a bit focused on the spying thing. And, he found it very difficult during the last three years to relate to girls. Luckily this was no longer a problem. "Oh no! You can't do that! Turn into me and then you'll have curls, and sideburns, and we don't want that." Seth spoke with a grin. He found it funny that she did seem to want coffee, but he had a feeling it was just because they were going to meet at the shop. He wasn't a hundred percent sure, but he had a feeling it was that. After all, he had never heard her be all that into coffee. But he was glad she had come anyway. She had been the only thing that had kept him from doing as Brendon had suggested and killed himself.

carson quickly walked into starbucks and the smell of coffee beans and pastries fill her nostrils. a small smile appeared on her face as she beamed up him, her eyes almost locking to his. "great, because i think you'll really like it." he had told her. carson of course knew she'd love the song no mater what, but all she said was "i'm sure i'll like it" in a reassuring tone. looking away from him again, she looked around noticing that there were a few people in line before them
