Taking a step into the not-too-fancy italian diner,Victoria told the hostess table for two.There was hardly any lunch rush.They got a table by the window,and she waited for him,playing with the zipper on her purse,zipping it and unzipping it.Eventually,she got a bottle of vitamin water and thanked the waiter,a middleaged man with obviously died black hair and a long mustache.He had a big,wrinkled forhead,and slightly hairy ears.It was somewhat disgusting but she forced a polite smile before looking out the window.She felt a real smile cross her face.She'd seen it coming,what had happened to Carson and Seth,and though it hurt to see him hurting she couldnt help but be happy he was single again.Hopefully he'd realize he needed her,Victoria.

That thought almost made her heart skip into overdrive.

She looked down at her wardrobe.The blue dress was new,never been worn,but it wasnt too fancy.I mean it wasn't like she was wearing heels.Just some adorable custard yellow ballet flats.Her hair,as always,was curly,but not frizzy.No never frizzy.

Now a skinny thirtysomething waitress came over to give her the menus.Victoria watched her carefully,smooth dark red hair,one big nose short of a movie star face.She was pretty,but not gorgeous.She just needed a nose job.She smiled politely and said a thank you for the menus just as she did before,mentally smacking herself for being such a snob.People probably thought wreched things about her as well.Some girl had told her once that her eyebrows were arched too high.Some boy said she had a retainer lisp.She'd always loved the way her eyebrows were sculpted,and yes honestly,at that time she had been wearing a retainer.

She now played around with her charm bracelet,smiling to herself as she leaned over and took a sip of her vitamin water.It wasn't flavoured,or in those tacky bottles.It was just water with vitamins,poured into one of those clear plastic glasses that say Coca Cola on them in the fancy script.She thought about how sweet he'd been in the msn.Almost as if he liked her.

Oh Hunny,dont even go there.

Victoria had a feeling he would,someday.Even if it ended up like the movie serendipity and she moved far away and he came to chase her when they were fourtysomethings.

But she really,really hoped he would start liking her back before then,because she really,really did not want to stay single until she was that old.

Finally she heard a small ding at the door,watched him speak to the hostess,then she pointed him over.She studied each perfect stride until he was sitting down across from her.
"Hey Brendon"she greeted with a sweet smile,"Its about time you showed up"

ever since things had gone down hill with carson it was that much tougher not to let his heart fall for victoria. aka his best friend in the whole world. brendon didn't want things to go to hell in a hand basket with victoria too if she didn't feel the same. she probably didn't. even though he was in love with her pretty much it was getting tough to not show it. like earlier on msn he'd pretty much made her think that he liked her. the way he acted. wow. he hadn't acted like that since carson... it was weird, because he hadn't ever loved carson. he'd only been dating her pretty much. sure it still hurt when he broke up with her. but he had to try and get past that. he'd made nice with them after all. them being his brother seth and his new girlfriend which was his ex girlfriend carson. he found that he was thinking about her all the time. but only because she was everywhere. but victoria was on his mind a whole hell of a lot more then carson was lately so that was just grand. sighing brendon got up off the couch and closed his laptop top and walked toward the door. he had to pretty much walk all the way to wherever it was toria had said she wanted to meet. it was that newish italian restaurant. it wasn't too fancy, it wasn't to not fancy though either. so he had something on that wasn't too fancy but wasn't just casual. jeans was kind of casual sure, but the rest of his assemble made him look a little more fancy i guess you could say. so he was headed out the door and now all he had to do was walk. just walk. it was the middle of the day and the sun was high up in the sky. it was such a beautiful day. but what was making him think was that he was going to see something so much more beautiful then the sky and everything else outside today. otherwise known as victoria the girl who was starting to seem like the girl of his dreams.

brendons hands were shoved down into his pockets and sunglasses were over his face as he walked. he didn't have a car just yet and that sucked. he hadn't saved up enough money to get one yet. he couldn't go long distances because he had to walk and walking wasn't always fun. but today he was fine with walking because he'd end up seeing victoria who still had no idea how he felt. it was already killing him and he'd only realized his true feelings for that lovely beast while he was on msn talking to her earlier. but at least he didn't realize them later on in the year because then he could just still see her as a friend but she felt like so much more to him right now it wasn't even funny. he wanted to be more then friends which had never happened before with him and toria. they were best friends from day one. finally he was there and was pulling his shades off his face as he walked through the door. brendon looked around as he heard a bell ding then just shrugged it off and walked up to the hostess to ask where a beautiful blonde haired girl was seated. "did a girl with curly blonde hair just get a table in here?" he asked it sounded kind of awkward for him to say it. she must have thought so too because she shot him a weird glance. she nodded once at brendon then pointed to where victoria was sitting. his eyes followed her arm as she pointed to where she was sitting. it felt like his heart stopped for a second there and he barely said thanks before he was gone. "thanks." he said as he walked away slowly up to victoria table. it seemed like she'd noticed him when he walked in because before he could sit down she had already started speaking. that smile she had on her face was just gorgeous though. he could look at that all day alone and never get bored of it. "hey brendon." he heard her say just as he sat down and scooted his chair forward. "hey." brendon said putting his elbows on the table and clapping his hands together once. "Its about time you showed up" she had said and that erked him a little. "yeah, well i don't have a car. sorry." he sighed looking up at her.

Victoria let a smirk cross her face and she rolled her eyes,platfully."i was kidding brendon" She smiled at him again "I didn't wait too long"she giggled slight,pushing her light blonde bangs from her face and looking up with him,catching his eyes for a second and she froze,then blushed and picked up a menu. She scanned through everything and picked something out of the pasta section randomly.She took another sip of her water,waiting for him to decide on something.She looked back out the window at the beautiful day it was,a smile gracing her face pleasantly.She turned back and looked at him,placing their orders and then she turned back to him.By now she couldn't remember what her order had been,but honestly she didn't really care.She crossed her legs on the table,bumping her knee and grimacing for a moment as she did so,then blushing "So how has your day been,mr.kennedy?"she asked,tossing some fair hair over her shoulder.She checked in her purse to get out her wallet,making sure she had enough money to pay her half.She knew she did,but she was just looking for something to do,than she closed her wallet,put it back in her purse,and then looked back up at him,with an awkward smile.If there was one thing,Victoria was no good with words.She blushed again and then muttered something inaudiable about how he was being sweet on msn.The redhead thirtysomething waitress came buy with a refill on her water,Victoria thanked her politely.Now she had to think of something to actually say or do so that she wouldnt seem so lame.But she didn't have to,the food had arrived.Oh,now she remembered,she had ordered the Spaghetti aglio, olio e peperoncino (image here)
She momentarrily closed her eyes,thinking a quick prayer before taking a small bite.She swallowed and said,as she uncrossed and recrossed her legs,careful not to bump her knee,"So I'm amazing?"her lips curving into a smile,recalling the conversation from earlier.Made her day? Made her life! She was practically head over heels for him and he called her amazing? It was almost to perfect,just like him.Good looks,charming,a gentleman.The only thing that was missing was...her with him.Then she was almost completely sure he would be perfect.She'd have to be sure not to upset him though,she didnt want him dying her hair like,purple or something.That would not work out well.She stifled a giggle,almost laughing out loud at the thought of her walking around with purple hair,yelling at him with anger flaring in her eyes.
