Riley Lena Turrick was bored. Shocker, right? The only thing she could basically think of was going to the movies. Since she was craving some type of food this evening it was some buttery popcorn and a slushy. She searched on her laptop for what movie to go see. She couldn't figure out what she was in the mood for. Comedy, chick flick, or maybe a horror film. She couldn't decide so she put the palm over of her hand and placed it over her eyes she waved her finger around a few times and landed on the horror movie. Haunting in Connecticut, which was going to start in about an hour.
Riley got up from her chair that she was sitting on and shut her laptop closed. Looking in the mirror she furrowed her eyebrows and grabbed her brush. She knew she needed to at least look a little decent going out in public so Riley grabbed her paddle brush and started to comb through her brown locks. Once that was done she grabbed one of her favorite blue dresses, paired it with a pair of dirty white sandals, and a black bag that was halfway hidden in her closet. She looked in the mirror one more time, nodded, and headed out the door. Shutting it behind her she checked to make sure it was locked. Once she was sure she skipped down the steps with ease and headed to the lobby.
Riley ran her fingers through her hair and pulled the lobby door open. Looking down at the 'tricky' doors they said push in big, white letters. Of course, she said quietly to herself. When Einstein got to the sidewalk the warm sun greeted her as she started to walk three blocks to-wards the movie theater. Riley could've drove her car but, she was pretty set on reducing her carbon footprint on the world and help the environment. She slung her black purse over her shoulder as the scenery passed her walking along the sidewalk.
After about ten minutes she stopped at a crosswalk looking at the signs across the street to tell when she could cross. When the sign changed to 'walk' Riley added a little hop to her step to cross the road quickly. As she was about one fourth of the way there the sign changed to 'stop' and a car started honking at her to hurry up, Jackass she whispered to herself looking at the car then back to the road. She broke into a run as she reached the other side. Riley walked through the parking lot and remembered to pull the door to open instead of pushing and entered the movie theater. A cool gush of air from the building gave Riley goosebumps as she waited in line to receive her ticket. Maybe she would even meet someone from school to see the movie with her, to comfort her when she screamed bloody murder if she was scared.
