you were fake, i was great, NOTHING PERSONAL. ah, the movie theater. the smell of fresh popcorn, the hustle and bustle of teenagers and familar faces, the sounds of the arcade games as the children shoved their weeks' allowance into the slots, and of course, the thin, eighteen male leaning against the brick wall, a cigarette in his lips as he watched each female walk by him; a bounce in their step as they turned to him. of course, there were two ways; one of them would glance at dan, smile, and automatically he could see himself ontop of her, and two seconds later he'd be forgetting her name and deleteing her number from his phone book, or the female was only being followed by her large boyfriend who decided the look daniel was giving was not something they didn't like and they would growl nice and low. of course, dan had delt with the worst of boyfriends. the assholes, the douches, the over-protective ones, the needy ones, the ones who were wrestlers...needless to say, he wasn't too intimadated and he watched the girl's boyfriend waddle off at the unphased chain smoker. no biggie. no one would win, no one would lose. time would only tell if the girl would sneak back to give dan a number. because he was well-known to give a gal a good time, yet, he was always crushing the girls hearts.
but he loved this movie theater. memories flooded back into his mind as he pictured taking that sweet little freshmen to see that movie about the evil cellhphones. he remebered how she had been so young, so cute and adorable. how she wore her hair in a long braid and she had let it hang on the side of her shoulder, or how she smelt really good, like a soft spring rain. he remembered how someone glared at him because he looked way too old for her. but that didn't matter anymore, right? i mean, he had ditched her after she refused to give it up, using the excuse that 'a junior was way too old for a little freshmen'. he didn't know where she was now, but he knew what he had done. broke her heart. but that was natural and normal when he was skimming through the book of 'past relationships'. more like flings. either it would end in flames, with daniel crushing the heart into pieces, or him accidently falling for the girl and end up becoming too attatched; the girl realizing that he wasn't who she thought he was. because when dan falls, he falls hard. maybe that's why he has already sabotaged 99% of relationships but rushing things- or ending them.
he let out a gust of smoke, blinking slowly and glazing over the crowd coming towards the doors. a group of rowdy, possibly drunk, teenagers. he only smiled. he hadn't even bothered to make a group of that yet- the fact that his parents had decided enough rebellion was enough and sent him to this school, where it was more secure. when you had the money like he did, a new school was no different than getting your hair cut. the group of teens just happened to have a pretty little blonde who stared at dan, an almost blood-shot look in her eyes as she tossed him a smug grin, letting out a crackle of laughter as someone whispered something in her ear. probably a rumor she had heard about the skinny boy that would have sex with anything with boobs and a pulse. he was about to look away, realizing that probably it would turn the blonde off, but she wiggled her fingers, and he saw the little piece of paper in her hands. ah, that was it. the demon numbers of doom that would cause him another good relationship. he let out a sigh and shook his head at her, tossing the cigarette to the ground as he stepped inside the movie theater, waiting for someone or something to come along. maybe madison would show up after he had sent that text message- but he could take the time to watch harry potter alone. ha. fat chance. stuffing his hands in his pockets, he shifted around looking for a crisp 10 dollar bill.

Madison couldn't help but wonder if she was doing the right thing. She had decided that she should start dating again, because she only had one chance to enjoy her teenage years. So, she was now going out with Daniel Knight. She wasn't sure if this was a good idea, but she wanted to try dating again. And he had been so nice to talk to. While she thought it was a fun idea, her doubts were pretty big. What would happen? She had no idea. Madi heard a familiar beeping that told her that she had a text message. The girl walked over to her desk and checked it. A small smile lit her face. It was from Daniel, her boyfriend. Yeah, she thought a movie was a good idea. The girl texted him back saying she'd be there soon. Madi wanted to surprise him. She was going to wear a dress that she had sort of avoided wearing for quite some time. Oh well, she felt like it now, and no one could criticize her for it. It was a white strapless dress, something she saved for special occasions. But Madi wanted Daniel to see just what girlfriend he had. And, sort of wanted to show off. Just a little bit. She couldn't help it. Also, if she had a body like hers, she might as well do something with it, since people stared anyway.
She brushed her hair thoroughly but kept it down, and smiled at herself in the mirror. Yes, she was a bit dressed up, but it was good to do this every once in a while. Hopefully she hadn't overdone it. Madi left her dorm room, ignoring a few wolf whistles from guys that she didn't know, or care to know. Her only intention was to go meet Daniel at the movies. Madi ruffled her hair and smiled, glad that she had finally given up on her stupid ban thing. It had been getting on her nerves. And when Colton and Deyan had asked if she would ever date one of them, she really had no idea. Madi loved them both a lot. They were such good friends, and they were so easy to get along with. But wrecking that relationship wasn't in her goal, and so she prefered the idea of dating someone new, who she didn't know well yet. Because then it wouldn't make it as hard if they broke up. She was pretty sure if she ever dated Colton or Deyan that she'd cry her eyes out. Mostly because she was terrified of losing the only real friends she'd ever had. Back in California she really hadn't had much of anything going for her. A lot of people hated her for giving her opinions so freely and not really listening to what was told to do.
Madi entered the movie theater at long last, glancing around the place. She had never really liked the place all that much, but it did have good movies available. She walked in confidently and with her head held high, and watching this blonde girl from the corner of her eye. Madi was pretty sure that was the type of girl Daniel probably usually dated, but she couldn't be positive. And then finally she spotted him. Her blue eyes sparkled and she smiled. She couldn't help it, she was a excited. And hey, maybe she would surprise Daniel with what she wore. Madi wasn't sure. Maybe he was used to those kinds of things and wouldn't care. Either way she walked over to him and grinned. "Hey there." was all she really had to say. She couldn't help but raise her eyebrows about certain people around them who were quite drunk, but she would leave it alone. They didn't know her, she didn't know them, and it could stay that way. In the meantime she could spend time with her boyfriend. Her blue eyes glanced around the room, looking for something, she wasn't quite sure what, before focusing back on Daniel.

you were fake, i was great, NOTHING PERSONAL. hey there his attention was stolen by the girl in the white dress, and his eyes grew wide with shock. gosh, he knew madison was pretty, but she looked goregous. he suddenly wanted to ask if she had been a model at one point to uppen his chance at getting laid tonight, but he simply grinned from ear to ear, tak ing another glance at her before stepping cl oser and taking her hands in his, pulling her close. "you look beautiful," he muttered sweetly in her ear before pulling back and sizing her up again. he hadn't been this happy with a girl since the freshmen, though he had a feeling that both he and madison were both looking or someone else; something a little different. dan knew he wasn't good enough for anyone, especially in madison's case, but he ignored the thought and reminded himself he was the one with the girl that everyone was staring at. sure, he was used to being stared at, but that was because he was usually the one at the party doing something crazy, not simply putting on a dress. he glanced into her blue eyes and felt jitters run down his spine.
and of course, the blonde from before just happened to walk by, but dan was too busy admiring madi, who the blonde could hon estly never hold a candle or comp are herself to. typical. dan was always wanted when he was unavaible, but when he wasn'y going steady with a nice, pretty, great girl, all oppurtiuni tes seemed to close on him and he was the one running half-naked out the recently married woman's house to escape the rage of the new husband. ah, now he remembered. that blonde had been an ex. thats why her atten ion was so focused on dan as he intertwined his fingers with madison and lead her to the ticket stand, paying for both of them, something he hadn't done for the blonde. anger and rage shook her tiny abercrombie-wearing body. she was nothing but a one-night stand. a floozy. a groupie. dan didn't care about her. she was just another addition to the wall of the many girls' hearts he smashed all over the pavement without a care in world. another girl who would send him mindless texts that he'd simple make excuses such as 'i came out of a bad relationship,' or 'i like you, but i think it'd hurt my new girlfriends feelings,' or the famous 'i'm dying' or 'i'm gay'. of course, he had told this particular girl that he was a homosexual, something he regretted as she watched him hand the man a twenty dollar bill and squeeze madisons hand softly in his. that was not something a gay man would do to a friend- or anyone of the opposite sex.
depending on the memory of dan, a lot of these girls could be one of the many girls he left hanging. it wasn't all his fault, right? a bad view on relationships from his father, his mother constantly cheating on him in the room right above him, no scolding from his dad when he caught his first girlfriend in his bed- no- three women in his bed at the age of 16. or maybe dan had his heart broken and sm ashed like the girls of which he did harm to? maybe those were the causes. either way, he was always looking- searching- for a girl to ease the burden- probably. dan tried not to think about it and considered himself a normal teenage boy (despite the spy stuff) who dated regularly and was sexually active. of course, he had a feeling he had to wait a little while to get madison to let him try anything. this wasn't just another fling with this girl, no, she was a smart girl, with a good head on her shoulder. the kind of girl that you brought home to mom. he liked her, but he wasn't sure that she was gonna give it up so easy. which was fine, since he'd been in this situation before, but most of the time, he ended up getting what he wanted. but who knows? it was all based on the mood and if he played his cards right.

She couldn't help but smirk. Judging by the look on his face, she had definitely surprised him. That was good, because she hadn't been positive that this was a good idea. But, it seemed to have a good effect, because he took her hands and moved in closer. Well, she hadn't really doubted that she looked nice in a dress. More of, whether it made sense to wear it to a movie. Now however, she was glad that she wore it. Madi smiled brightly at him, blushing slightly at his comment. It had been a while since she'd been complimented by a guy. The feeling was kind of odd after having avoided them for so long. Still, it was nice, and made her feel better about herself. Not that she had a low self esteem or anything, but it was still a good feeling. Madi grinned and waited, wondering what it was he had been intending to see. She hadn't really payed attention to her text, she couldn't remember if he had mentioned it or not. But that didn't matter much, either way, because she'd find out soon enough.
Madi couldn't help but raise an eyebrow at the blonde girl, who was very clearly watching their every move. It was as if she had no life at all. Daniel put his hand in her own and she smiled, letting him lead them over to the ticket counter. She would definitely have paid for herself, she brought money, but he had already taken care of it. That was really nice of him, although she saw that blonde girl, and anger didn't seem a good enough word for how she looked. Madi shook her head. She just couldn't believe how desperate the girl must be. Madi had already seen that there were plenty of guys around, plenty of them hot and definitely looked single. But she supposed that some people just wanted anything that they couldn't have. It was stupid, but some people were that way. Her mind was simply wandering, but Daniel sort of dragged her back into awareness by squeezing her hand. She wasn't used to that sort of thing, but it felt nice. Madi decided it was something she'd like to get used to, because it was sort of comforting having that warm hand in hers.
"So I was hoping to surprise you. Did it work?" Madi asked him curiously, a bright smile on her face. She very much meant the dress, she sort of wanted to know what he thought. She doubted that he didn't like it, after his comment, but still.
